CODE OF CONDUCT
Application Processes
- The Public Relations Department and the Secretariat of JNAMUN 2023 are responsible for the acceptance, rejection, and allocation of participants.
Dress Code
- All participants are expected to be in formal business attire during all sessions and ceremonies. Gentlemen need to be in suits i.e., male delegates are expected to attend the conference wearing either ties or bow ties, and gentlewomen in business suits or dresses. Please keep in mind that delegates who are not dressed appropriately will not be allowed in the sessions.
Note Passing
- The Administrative Staff is responsible for note passing during the sessions. Note passing between forums is not permitted. Notes should always be written in formal English, concerning matters relating to committee work. Private messages will not be sent.
- Please be reminded that the Administrative Staff and Committee Directors are entitled to scan your notes.
Opening Speeches
- All delegates are required to deliver an opening speech in the first session of the conference.
Punctuality and Attendance
- All delegates are required to arrive on time for each session, which is five minutes before each session starts. Constant tardiness and missing more than three sessions will result in revoking of your Certificate of Participation and any awards you may have been about to receive.
Social Events
- All delegates must strive to keep a polite, respectful, and professional tone in all their communications and interactions with other delegates, chairs, staff, and advisors. The delegates who harass or discomfort other delegates by any means during the social events will be given a warning.
- Noncompliance with the aforementioned rules may result in official warnings or the expulsion of a delegate.
Application Information
- All the information given by the applicant (individual delegate, advisor or head delegate) must be given and approved by the applicant and must be accurate. The confirmation for this article is important due to the fact that JNAMUN’23 will be sending delegates certificates via email.
Note to Advisors
- It is advised for advisors to make sure they have written all of the required information about the delegates along with their MUN/JMUN experiences down at the MUN experience part on our MUNPoint page.
Refund Policy
Refund claims are approved only for the earthquake region-affected schools.

The Historical Crisis Committee is a committee where the delegates simulate an important historical event like a council union, a congress or a parliament etc. in a single cabinet within cooperation or by conflict with each other. This year at NAMUN this committee will have an open agenda and the delegates are going to reenact the 1814-1815 Congress of Vienna which is a congress convened as a result of the Napoleonic Wars. This Committee requires a high level of experience (at least 4 or 5 ).

The Joint Crisis Committee is a committee where more than one cabinet simulates an important historical event like a rebellion, a war or a crisis etc. within cooperation or by conflicting with each other. This year at NAMUN this committee will have an open agenda and the delegates are going to reenact 1066-Scramble for English Crown which is the conflict between the Scandinavian, Norman and Anglo-Saxon Cabinets. This committee requires a high level of experience (at least 4 or 5).

The European Commission is the EU's politically independent executive arm. It is alone responsible for drawing up proposals for new European legislation, and it implements the decisions of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU. This year at NAMUN, our only agenda item will be: Invigorating the Stability of the European Union in the Face of the Turbulent Environment in The Post-Pandemic Period.

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation or in other words NATO, is an alliance whose purpose is to safeguard the freedom and security of all of its members by both political and militaristic means. Striving to secure a lasting peace in Europe and North America, based on shared values of freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. This year at NAMUN our only agenda item will be: Re-thinking NATO: Growing Problems in the Face of its Eastern Expansion

UN Women is the UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women was established to accelerate progress in meeting their needs worldwide. This year at NAMUN, our only agenda item will be: Vivificate the sustainable development goals aimed at women.

The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) is the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. The committee deals with disarmament, and threats to peace and security. Most of the topics that are discussed in the DISEC are connected to national, regional or global security, biological, chemical, nuclear and technological weapons or arms trade. This year at NAMUN, our only agenda item will be the East China Sea Dispute.

The United Nations Environmental Program focuses on preserving the environment for future generations. Dealing with climate change to pollution, UNEP works for a better future. This year at NAMUN, our agenda items will be:
1. The Future of Nuclear Energy
2. Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change and Pollution on Human Settlements
This committee is marked as a beginner committee for high school students. UNEP is appropriate for both first-time and experienced delegates.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is a UN agency charged with supporting refugees, forcibly displaced people, and stateless people in voluntary repatriation, local integration, and resettlement to a third country. UNHCR’s goal is to protect the rights and well-being of people forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution. This year at MANUN, our agenda items will be :
1. Securing the Rights and Privileges of Refugees displaced by natural phenomena
2. Ensuring the Safety and Prosperity of the Refugees originating from war zones
This committee is marked as an intermediate committee. UNHCR is appropriate for first-timers alongside more experienced delegates.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, UNICEF, is an agency of the UN whose activities include providing immunizations and disease prevention and administering treatment for children and mothers. This year at NAMUN, our agenda items will be:
1. Eliminating the Effects of COVID-19 on Children
2. Decreasing the Unfavourable Effects of Poverty in Child Development and Early Life
This committee is marked as a beginner committee for high school students. UNEP is appropriate for first-timers alongside more experienced delegates.
