Welcome Letter from the Secretary-General

Esteemed participants,

It is my utmost pleasure to welcome you to the first ever edition of the TED University Model United Nations Training and Development Conference 2021. I am Hüseyin Hikmet Fındık, a sophomore at TED University, studying Computer Engineering. I will be serving as the Secretary-General of the Conference which we hope it will be crucial to make you return to the Model United Nations environment.

Covid-19 and its related process kept us away from everything we love about our life, including the MUN Conferences. In our campus, face to face, it is amazingly exciting for us to have the opportunity to get back out there and organize a training and development conference.  It was our ultimate motivation to create that environment which will be a good throwback for our experienced delegates and also will be a learning opportunity for our first-timer delegates.  We will have workshops of MUN101, Rules of Procedure, and the Resolution Paper which we believe they will help everyone who would like to learn MUN Conferences. We believe that there is no better option for starting or continuing to participate MUN Conferences rather than the TEDUTRAIN'21 .

The necessity of a traditional training and development conference cannot be denied, considering the new delegates who are participating to the conferences every year. As one of the oldest University MUN Association of Ankara, TEDUMUN is honoured by being able to create a platform where all MUNers of the city from various schools and universities can come together and make our MUN environment more peaceful and collabrative. We believe that TEDUTRAIN'21 will be the first of many, a starting point of a tradition that will improve and develop the MUN Conferences generally.

Lastly, considering the latest situation of the Turkish economy, we tried to give you a conference which you will be sure that your money was worth it. We hope that these prices will allow every student to easily participate and be a part of our journey.

With all the hype, we will be working day and night for a month to have you here, welcome to the TEDUTRAIN'21, where we unite and fly to the MUN.
